Mikaela Hunt

Mikaela Hunt joined the Department of Commerce as Chief Communications Officer in July of 2019. She is responsible for leading the communications section in their earned, owned, and responsive media efforts. Mikaela has a background in broadcast journalism and content creation. Prior to joining the Department, she owned her own brand journalism company and worked as an anchor/reporter covering statehouse-related issues for 15 years in Missouri, Illinois, and Ohio. Columbus Business First honored Mikaela with its’ “40 Under 40” designation in 2017. Mikaela is a graduate of the University of Missouri School of Journalism.
