Three People Dead in Garfield Heights Home Explosion

(COLUMBUS, Ohio) – Investigators with the Division of State Fire Marshal’s Fire and Explosion Investigation Bureau confirm three adults, two males and one female, were killed Saturday evening in a home explosion at 4930 E. 81st St in Garfield Heights (Cuyahoga County). 

The Garfield Heights Fire Department was dispatched to the scene at 6:39 p.m. Saturday, June 11. When firefighters arrived, they found the home destroyed. The deceased were located with assistance from the East Technical Rescue Team. 

Investigators with the Division of State Fire Marshal, Garfield Heights Fire and Police and Dominion Energy remain on scene.
