Proposed Rules

The Ohio Revised Code requires every rule listed in the Ohio Administrative Code to be reviewed every five years, and submitted to the Joint Committee on Agency Rule Review with either a "no change" statement, amendments, additions, or requests to rescind specific rules.

The Ohio Department of Commerce values the input of all stakeholders in the regulatory process and encourages your participation in the rule revision / development process. Below are links to proposed rules that are currently being considered by the Board of Building Standards. Should you wish to comment on these proposals, you may do so at http://business.ohio.gov/reform/ or by contacting the Board.
