OHLQ bottle lotteries give Ohioans an equal opportunity to purchase a bottle of a limited supply product. The bottle lotteries are random draw contests open to any Ohio resident who is of legal drinking age and has a valid Ohio driver’s license or state-issued ID card.
Many of the world’s most sought-after liquor products are distilled in very small quantities, resulting in a limited supply. OHLQ holds bottle lotteries to ensure that Ohio is able to fairly distribute small shipments when they are sent to our state.

How does it work?
You can enter on our site when a bottle lottery is active. Once the entry period ends, winners are randomly selected through a digital, randomized algorithm. They are then verified for eligibility.
Am I eligible?
If you are 21 years old, are a legal resident of Ohio, and have an Ohio driver’s license or state-issued ID card, you are eligible to enter! Military service members on active duty, in the reserves, or members of the National Guard stationed in Ohio on orders are also eligible to enter. If this applies to you, contact us at OhioLiquorInfo@com.ohio.gov prior to entering.
Ohio bottle lotteries are not open to employees of the Ohio Division of Liquor Control and their immediate family, JobsOhio, companies in contract with the Ohio Division of Liquor Control's Agency Operations section and JobsOhio Beverage System, agency store owners and their employees/immediate family members, or the product’s broker and supplier.
How much does it cost to enter?
It’s free to enter. The only cost is the price of the bottle if you win.
Why do I have to choose an OHLQ store when submitting my entry?
This is the store where you will purchase the product if you are selected as a winner.
Can I enter for multiple bottles in one lottery?
Yes. If multiple products are included in a bottle lottery, you can enter for any or all of those products. However, you are only eligible to win one product per lottery.
Why is there a gap between the lottery closing and the winner announcement?
We have to verify winners to ensure that they meet all necessary eligibility requirements.
How will I know if I win the opportunity to purchase a bottle?
We will send a congratulatory message to the email address you used to sign up. You’ll be told which bottle you’ve won the opportunity to buy and the dates that the product will be available for purchase. The bottle will be made available at the OHLQ store location you selected during entry. The names of winners will also be announced on this site.

Do I need to buy the product if I win?
No, there is no obligation to buy a bottle that you’ve won. However, if you choose to accept the product, you must purchase it.
I’ve submitted incorrect information. What do I do?
If you have submitted incorrect information, contact us and provide all of the following: your full name, the email address you submitted on your entry form, your entry form ticket number, your driver's license or state ID number, and what information was entered incorrectly.
