Notice of Installation

Pursuant to division (D) of section 4781.11 of the Ohio Revised Code, within fourteen (14) days after the installation of a manufactured home, the installer who performs or supervises the installation must provide to both the treasurer and the auditor of the county in which the home is being installed a written notice containing all of the following information:

  • The address or location of the installation
  • The date of the installation
  • The make and model of the installed manufactured housing unit
  • The name of the owner of the installed manufactured housing unit

The installer may use the Department's Notice of Installation available for download on this webpage or may provide their own written notice to the county auditor and treasurer, so long as the notice has the required information.

Failure to provide the notice of installation as required under R.C. 4781.11(D) can result in:

  • an administrative hearing and penalty;
  • the denial, suspension, revocation, or refusal to renew the license of a manufactured home installer; and
  • other actions or discipline permitted under law.
