The Ohio Department of Commerce, Division of Real Estate and Professional Licensing registers land professionals who prepare and negotiate agreements for exploring, transporting, producing, or developing oil and gas mineral interests in Ohio.

Current Land Professionals:
2023 renewal information was mailed to your business address on file with the Division on March 3rd. Failure to properly renew by April 30th will cause your registration to expire. If you do not receive your renewal information in the mail, a renewal form can be downloaded below.

New oil and gas land professional registration requires:

1. A registration application
2. $100 fee
3. Proof of being a member in good standing with a national, state or local professional organization that has been in existence for at least three years and has developed a set of standards of performance and ethics for oil and gas land professionals. Some of the organizations we have reviewed and approved previously include AAPL, IRWA, MLBC, OOGA and the National Association of Division Order Analysts. 
4. You will also need to provide the land professional disclosure statement to landowners at two times as detailed in the land professional disclosure statement.
