The Division of Securities is the state's chief securities regulator with a focus on consumer protection. While we are regulators, we view our purpose as much greater – we have a vital role in protecting people and their financial assets. We ensure businesses and people follow the law as they sell certain securities products and services. The Division’s Enforcement Section is a criminal justice agency with authority to investigate complaints and enforce Ohio’s securities laws. Our work in turn stimulates economic growth and protects consumers’ most important financial assets.
