File a Consumer Financial Complaint

The Division of Financial Institutions regulates banks and credit unions chartered by Ohio as well as consumer finance companies and money service businesses that operate within the state. The Division welcomes the opportunity to assist consumers who have experienced difficulties when conducting business with an institution regulated by this office. Please feel free to file a written complaint if you need further assistance.

Please be aware, the Division does not have authority over all institutions doing business, or headquartered, in Ohio.

Federally Regulated Banks

Banks that include "national," "federal," "N.A." or "F.S.B." in its name are generally regulated on the federal level. Examples include JPMorgan Chase Bank, Huntington Bank, Fifth Third Bank, Citizens Bank and KeyBank. These banks are regulated by the following agencies:
